The device consists of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA), obtained from Streptococcus equi bacteria, formulated to a concentration of 23 mg/ml in a physiologic buffer supplemented with 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride.
The ancillary role of lidocaine hydrochloride is to reduce the pain associated with injections into the skin.
